Our Story

 

WELCOME TO THE FAMILY!

Huerta’s Mercadito is a family-run collective straight outta L.A., powered by three artists: Tina (that’s me), my dad Chris, and my mom Lupe. We each have our own style—stickers, shirts, and handmade earrings—but we come together under one roof to celebrate culture, nostalgia, and puro corazón.

It all started when my dad and I were doing pop-ups—me with Hecho Con Amor, and him with Looney Foos. We realized we needed a space where all our creativity could coexist. My mom, who creates beautiful handmade jewelry as De Colores, hadn’t done pop-ups yet—but we wanted to build something where all of us could shine together.

Our art is rooted in Chicano culture and inspired by Mexican traditions, family memories, and the kind of comfort that makes you smile. This mercadito is just the beginning. One day, we hope to open a physical shop and uplift other artists who are just starting out. Until then, shop around—you’re familia here!
